Not just a pretty face, Grassroots leader has some grit
June 30 - Sophomore pacing colt Pretty Handsome has earned top honours in five of his six Grassroots outings over the last two seasons, but none were as impressive as Friday eveningís 1:50.1 clocking at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

June 28 - Last fall two Ontario Sired trotting colts boarded a Doyle Transport van at the Fasig-Tipton Sales Pavilion in Lexington, Kentucky and headed north. Twelve hours later they arrived at trainer John Baxís Campbellville farm and began the process that transforms immature yearlings into powerful racehorses. Over the next four weeks Ontario Racing will highlight these two colts and the path that their connections hope will lead them to the 2018 Ontario Sires Stakes.

June 23 - How good is Jimmy Freight? Driver Louis Philippe Roy is not sure; he thought he had seen the best of the colt in his first six starts this season, but the three-year-old pacer stepped it up a notch in Saturdayís $96,400 Gold Series win at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
