Eight 3-year-old colt pacers were entered today (Monday) for the OSS Gold Elimination scheduled to be contested on Friday, October 5th at Flamboro Downs.
The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elimination than can compete in the Final, the elimination will be cancelled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the Final to be held the following week. Therefore, the Gold Elimination for 3 year-old colt pacers scheduled for October 5th at Flamboro Downs is cancelled.
The $130,000 Gold Final will be held on Friday, October 12th as scheduled and the post positions will be drawn on Friday, October 5th, when the Final would normally have been drawn.
According to OSS rules concerning the points for the Super Final, the 100 points from the cancelled elimination will be distributed equally between the eight horses that entered the event.
